G Panzer rolled out of German factories in late 1943 with a redesigned chasis implemented amongst other minor improvements. Additional side armour was built into the tank due to the advent and proliferation of more hand held anti tank weapons. Furthermore the Ausf. G upgrade of the panther featured a 7. 5 cm Kw. K. 42 L 70 main armament that was placed into a turret with upto 110mm of frontal armour. In total almost 3000 such models
