Sometimes we are very inspired by fabric and color and when I saw this fat quarter bundle in all of these shades of blue I knew it would be perfect for a collection of flowers that I had art for

we decided to design a small art quilt and see where it went

allowing you to create a masterpiece without the need for traditional sewing techniques

The second type was digitized using a satin stitch in one color

We wanted to create tonal animals with unique contours and stitching. We used applique in all of these designs and 3 colors of thread. We also added batting behind the applique for a unique puffy look. We stitched the designs on black linen tea towels with a cotton and grosgrain ribbon trim.
